About us
Confidence Finance is a professional mortgage broking service that assists you in selecting the right loan for you. With access to over 40 lenders and 100s of loan products, we can save you money by negotiating you a better deal.
We specialize in assisting you structure your finances in a manner consistent with your investing/personal goals. We take the time to get to know you, and use our expertise to correctly structure your loans.
We make the loan process simple, take care of all the paperwork, communicate with your lender and keep you informed of the progress of your application.
We do not charge for our services (unless specifically stated). Confidence Finance is paid by the lender when we successfully settle your loan.
Our role
We listen – Our aim is to find the right loan for you and to save you money. This first involves learning about your needs so that we can use our expertise to help you.
We are free to you – we do not charge you for our services. You’ll have access to the same banks often at better rates.
We are researchers – we are home loan specialists. We talk to lenders every day to stay on top of market developments.
We are negotiators – we will always do our best to get you the best deal possible.
We are experts – we pride ourselves on our market knowledge and understanding of lending policies.
Disclosures
Confidence Finance is a specialised mortgage broking firm that does not offer its own products.
Confidence Finance is not the loan provider and does not hold the right to approve or decline your loan. The chosen lender will decide the outcome of your loan application.
In order to provide our services to you, Confidence Finance has entered into commercial arrangements with our lending panel.
We arrange credit for our clients from those lenders. Those lenders may not necessarily represent all the lenders who offer credit of the nature that you seek.
In order to market our services to you, we may enter into referral commercial arrangements with other professionals in the industry. Should any such referral arrangements exist in providing you your loan, we will disclose you the nature and amount of any referral arrangements.

Our top lenders and our commissions
Confidence Finance is paid by the lender when we successfully settle your loan.
Note that there are small marginal differences in the commissions that lenders pay us (see below). However, we do not let this impact or alter our recommendation for finding you the right loan.
That is why we will provide you with your own personalised lending report that compares your options and provides you the knowledge to empower you.

Confidence Finance act as an intermediary between you and lenders to source suitable loans for our clients. In conducting this activity, personal and financial information is required to make our recommendations. We can provide you access to the information we hold at your request. We may at times use your contact details to provide you information about our products and specials. Should you wish to not receive this information, please contact us and we will remove you for our database.

Things you should know
We don’t provide legal or financial planning advice. It is important you understand your legal obligations under the loan, and the financial consequences. If you have any doubts, you should obtain independent legal and financial planning advice before you enter any loan contract.
Dispute resolution
Whilst we always strive to provide the best possible service, we understand that there may be times where you are not satisfied.
If this occurs, and you wish us to do something about it, we have a formal process in place to address your concerns.
First port of call is to call us to discuss your complaint.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your complaint, you may make a formal complaint to our External Dispute Resolution Scheme Provider. The details of our EDR Scheme membership are set out at the start of this below. This is a free service to you.

Preliminary Assessment
Prior to providing credit assistance to you, we must assess whether the particular loan is “unsuitable”. A loan will be “unsuitable” based on the information you provided to us if:
- You will be unable to repay the proposed loan or will only be able to repay the proposed loan with substantial hardship,
or
- The proposed loan does not meet your requirements and objectives.
We are required to document our findings that the proposed loan is not unsuitable by way of completing a Preliminary Assessment. The Preliminary Assessment will set out your:

If we provide you with credit assistance, you may request a copy of our Preliminary Assessment anytime for up to 7 years and we must provide you with a copy of the assessment within the following timeframes:

*The Credit Day is the date the credit contract is settled or the credit limit is increased. There is no charge for requesting or receiving a copy of the Preliminary Assessment.
